Community support for Team Austin is ramping up. Austin is a 16 year old three sport athlete. Unfortunately in June 2012, he broke his neck in a swimming pool accident. Austin is currently paralyzed from the chest down. Steps2Hope has secured physical therapy treatments from our friends at Siskin Hospital as well as acupuncture treatments and an Estim device for use at home.
Our next effort in helping Austin is to raise funds for equipment and modifications for Austin’s home that will make it easier for him to regain his physical independence.
Austin’s life has been altered dramatically. He has begun a difficult journey; however, God has a plan and purpose for his life. Steps2Hope and our supporters are providing assistance and most of all evidence that God is forever faithful. Austin is facing this new journey with incredible faith, courage, patience, hope, love and optimism. It is challenging, painful and frustrating, with victories and setbacks. Even so, he remains an encouragement to everyone he meets and a testimony to God’s grace, love and mercy.
Help us support this young man and others like him by donating today. This entry was posted in Team Austin, Completed, Team Austin and tagged Austin Whitten, Steps2Hope, Team Austin. Bookmark the permalink. ← Do You Need Mobility Assistance Jason’s New Journey →
